In 2009, our first cohort of scholars started their high school scholarship journeys. Now, more than a decade later, they are making waves in various industries. Naledi is no exception.
In Grade 10, two seniors from SBF introduced me to Code for Cape Town (Code4CT). Intrigued by their discussions and fascinated by the idea of computers, I eagerly en- rolled in the programme. It quickly captured my interest, leading me to pursue it further throughout my tertiary studies. During my initial internship, I immersed myself in fullstack development and testing, which altered my career path. I have since found my niche as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
I am deeply inspired to give back to SBF, aspiring to evolve from mentorship into a more substantial role in the future. Concurrently, I am driven to advance my career into the corporate business realm, aiming to move beyond my current role. I am passionate about educa- tion and nurturing others and I am eager to contribute my part as a changemaker in this field.
Self-management, agility, fostering collaborative relationships, ana- lytical and critical thinking, and a commitment to achieving goals. These skills have not only enabled me to thrive professionally but also to assume leadership roles. As a team member, I consistently take on responsibilities that exceed the confines of my job description. I also apply these skills to cultivate enduring relationships.
